Das Not Funny! Fridays

It’s finally Friday! How many times this week did you hear or see something and think… “Das Not Funny!” but then realize that it actually was pretty funny? Well, such is the purpose of this blogapolooza known as Das Not Funny! Friday.

Ok, so I have a bad memory & keep forgetting to write down the funny stuff my kids come up with, but here goes.

Since we started babysitting for a friend on Thursdays, Jacob has decided that he needs a sibling. Actually that he needs a brother named "Jacob" because he thinks it's a really cool name and that Caylin could have a little sister named "Caylin", because he likes his sister's name. Caylin told him that he wasn't getting a brother and even if he did, he couldn't name him Jacob because that was his name. His reply...yes we can, because then daddy would have two Jacobs! Needless to say, he was not happy with his sister for messing with his plans!

For Caylin this week, I told her that if her school project wasn't completed early, she would be punished. So, two days before it's due and with the knowledge that she cannot possibly finish reading her book in one day, she comes into the kitchen and tells me that she has decided her punishment..she should lose her tv for one week. Ok, works for me. So, I then ask her-how did you determine your punishment? Her response..well, since I have a sore throat & cold, I'm going to be too tired to watch tv anyways, so I won't miss it much this week! Of course, she did ask for tv back the next day, because she was feeling better! I love her logic sometimes!
