Das Not Funny Fridays!

It's finally Friday!! Yah! Ok, so I'm bad this week also. We've been on vacation and although I've laughed at my kids a lot this week, I didn't write anything down. So, I'm going from my bad memory here!

Jake has this new friend, Mr. Invisible, that he plays with a little too often sometimes. While getting ready for a bath this week, Jake was using the potty. I asked him if he was finished, even though I could see that he obviously was. He told me no, that he was stil peeing, but it was invisible, just like how Mr. Invisible pees. I had to bite my tongue to keep from laughing at his creativity!

We had seadogs for supper last night (it's a hot dog bun with crabmeat, a celery and cucumber mix and cheese on top). Caylin commented that these were so good that we should set up a stand outside in the yard and sell them with lemonade. That sounds great, but I wouldn't even stop and buy food from someone's yard. Nice try kiddo!

Ok, the last one wasn't really funny, except in one of those situations where you either laugh or cry, so I opted to laugh! We were babysitting a 2 year old little girl last Friday. She and Jake were in her room playing and Jake asked me to come in his room. I expected by the tone of his voice to find a broken toy, which is the usual for him. Instead, I find them on the floor with crayons. He proceeds to tell me that she was coloring on the floor and he told her not to, because we don't color the floor. It wasn't a big mark and she colored it pretty light, so I wasn't too worried about it. While talking, he is laying across the floor. He then moves and shows me his coloring on the floor--nice red, purple and blue--dark marks on a light beige berber carpet. I stood there and just started laughing. Jake thought he was in the clear then and started laughing with me. Well, he laughed until I spanked his bottom anyway! I still can't figure out his reasoning behind coloring his floor! But I'll take any suggestions on removing crayon from my carpet!!

Oh no! Crayon on the carpet! Maybe Jake was thinking that the crayons were the kind that Mr. Invisible uses - sort of like the invisible pee. Just a thought...:)
