It's so hard for me to believe, but my baby girl isn't a baby anymore. Ok, according to her, she hasn't been a baby for a long, long time! Anyway, to me, she is my baby girl, my first born child. Today she is 13 years old. Where has the time gone? It seems like only a short time ago that I was holding this sweet baby and rocking her. Now she's as tall as me and growing up way to fast. It brings tears to my eyes to think that in a few years she will be in high school and then on to college.

Since it's my blog and I'm her mom, I'm going to brag for a few about this precious daughter of mine! She has a heart for children and animals. When she visits Kate each week, she can usually always make her giggle and smile. She loves Kate like a sister and worries about her. (For those who don't know, Kate is 5 years old and her leukemia has come back after a year of treatment). She absolutely loves animals and dreams of going to Wake Forest University and being a veterinarian. She makes good grades, had straight A's on this report card (which is a good thing because she will need a huge scholarship to attend WF!). She loves her little brother and even lets him cuddle with her sometimes. I can't wait to see what God has in store for her future.

So, Happy Birthday baby girl!! You're a teenager now and I couldn't be more proud of you!
