The Perfect get-a-way

If you're looking for a great weekend get-a-way, I know just the place. The Pilot Knob Inn Bed & Breakfast in Pilot Mountain. Brent & I love to go there! It's the perfect place..it's close enough that we can get there quickly and still feel far away from everything.

This is Jennifer and Kathy preparing breakfast for us. Jennifer and her husband own the B & B. They serve a great breakfast...fresh fruit, muffins, belgium waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, toast. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. Did I mention that the view from the breakfast room??

Isn't this amazing? While you eat breakfast, you get to enjoy this breathtaking view.

There's a sauna beside the swimming pool. We haven't tried the sauna or pool yet, but the both look great.

This is the Yadkin Valley Honeymoon suite. It's on the front side of the breakfast room and has a living room, full bath with jacuzzi, gas logs and upstairs loft bedroom.

Here's one of the cabins they have there also.

It's not far down the road to go into Mount Airy and check out all the shops there, including the Main Street Emporium. They have something for everyone in there! It's a larger version of the Shoppes on Main in Thomasville. And if you're looking for somewhere excellent to eat...go to Goobers 52. A great restaurant (don't think of a quaint family restaurant) that serves great salads, pasta, seafood dishes and has an awesome outside eating area. Here's their website http://www.goobers52.com/.
